about upward frog cic

Upward Frog is an innovative yoga company

People practicing yoga or stretching on mats in a bright room with large windows, plants, and colorful decorations.

We believe that yoga can have a transformational impact on people’s health and wellbeing, and that yoga should be available and accessible to everyone.

Upward Frog CIC exists to make a positive impact on people’s health and wellbeing.

To make this happen, everything we do is guided by our founding principles.

We have a clear vision of what we want to achieve, a truthful and authentic mission which sets us apart, and a set of core values which define the behaviours which will help us all to achieve our goals.

OUR VISION

A community living happier, healthier lives through yoga.

OUR MISSION

We exist to provide inclusive and empowering yoga experiences which boost the physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing of disadvantaged communities in Stockport and Manchester.

We are committed to making yoga available to everyone who wants it, removing health, financial or demographic barriers.

OUR VALUES

We help people to take responsibility for managing their own physical and mental health and wellbeing.

eMPOWERING

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

We are committed to making a positive social impact beyond our yoga studio.

INCLUSIVE

We believe that yoga should be accessible to everyone who wants to participate.

Sustainable

We are committed to working towards being a fully sustainable social enterprise.

We value the power of community and create supportive and welcoming spaces for individuals to connect and share experiences.

COMMUNITY & CONNECTION

We provide exceptional experiences for everyone who uses or commissions our services.

PROFESSIONAL

We are a social enterprise so we don’t have owners, shareholders or pay dividends. Instead, our trading profits are reinvested into making a difference to health and wellbeing through yoga in our community.

Our trading income comes from our yoga studio (classes, courses, memberships and passes) and from commissioned and corporate work. We then reinvest 100% of our profits back into the disadvantaged communities on our doorstep.

We also bid for funding from local and national bodies to enable us to run specific projects, courses and programmes in Stockport and Greater Manchester.

HOW WE REINVEST OUR PROFITS
