About Emma

Emma is the founder of Upward Frog CIC, originally opening the Stockport studio as Upward Frog Yoga Ltd in January 2019 after returning from living and teaching in London and the Thames Valley.

Emma is committed to continuing her learning and developing her skills and has taken additional trainings including yoga nidra with Julia Davis and Tessa Sanderson, restorative yoga with Adelene Cheong, yin yoga with Norman Blair, chair yoga with Liz Oppedijk and menopause yoga with Petra Coveney. She is currently undertaking a 100 hour training in Trauma Informed Yoga with Susi Wrenshaw at Trauma Therapy Manchester.

As well as being a yoga teacher, Emma is also a qualifed Personal Trainer and holds the Exercise Referral Diploma for working 1-2-1 with people with long-term health conditions.

Away from the studio, Emma works on her own practice, collects crystals, reads yoga books and and enjoys spending time with lurchers Stanley and Ruby, family and friends. She has a grown up son and lives in Stockport.

Describe your teaching style

I hope my style is encouraging, welcoming and challenging to students of all ages and abilities. I treat everyone as an individual and encourage students to develop their own practice at their own pace.
