AMANDA CANGELOSI
Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist

About Amanda

Amanda is an experienced yoga teacher with over 17 years of personal practice and 7 years of teaching accessible, community-based yoga. She recently completed her formal training as a yoga therapist so that she can tailor and adapt the practices to treat medical conditions.

She is passionate about applying the practices of yoga to support recovery from both physical and mental health conditions, and has completed multiple trainings focused on chronic illness and long-term well-being.

Outside of the studio, Amanda feels most at home in nature, hiking, climbing, cycling, or simply soaking in the view from her tent.

Describe your teaching style

Trained through the Svastha School of Yoga, Amanda's approach is rooted in the teachings of Krishnamacharya and A.G. Mohan, who emphasise that "there is no strength greater than yoga".

Her classes are intentionally gentle and slow-paced, designed to help students tune into the quality of their experience, build positive neural connections, and cultivate a sense of strength, confidence and steadiness, both on and off the yoga mat.
